OK guys, here's your chance. Fathers Day is just a few weeks away. In an effort to get you that new GPS you've been lusting over, I've published a set of automotive GPS recommendations / buyers guide and did the same thing for handheld GPS.
Your family can't go wrong with these guides. I've selected the best deals on car and backcountry GPS receivers in multiple price categories, so what are you waiting for? Send them a link!
help me pick my first gps, please. I want to use it for hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, generally in the woods. I am so far looking a 3 different units, but I', just not sure what I would like, I have looked at the garming csx60, the lorrance ihunt, and the delorme,pn 40. I like what everybody is saying about the 6o, I think I like delormes maps and aerials, and then a salesman said he loves his ihunt. Which one to get?

Given those three, I'd go with the DeLorme or Garmin. The Garmin is more user-friendly. I like the DeLorme, but the software is quite complex. The DeLorme comes with detailed maps (a plus), but there are lots of free ones for Garmin units at http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/. Check for 1:24K maps of states you are interested in.
