When it rains, it pours. Hot on the heels of Magellan's announcement of MapSend Topo Mexico, comes Garmin's introduction of Mexican street maps with the release of MapSource City Select Mexico. Just like the Magellan product, this one is limited to SD cards (and micro-SD in this case). Here is a coverage map from Garmin's web site.
I'm sure we're just going to see more and more international products from these GPS firms. MapSource TOPO Great Britain was recently released, and rumor has it that there will soon be a version of City Select for Malaysia and Singapore.

Hi, I have been very interested in purchasing an automotive navigation system yet i find myself traveling to mexico most of the time. I strongly believe that the closest places to the US of travel that is are both Mexico and Canada. and these navigation systems companies should enphazise the importance of creating and researching to have a solid documentation of the roads to better sell thier products. It is very important to give the cunsumer solid and well rounded information of the roads they travel. i can agree that the software created for the road of the US are extremely outstanding by garmin and others like Lowrence and Magellan. the the price goes to the first who can create a great program (software) that accurately reaches and explores the roads of both our neighboring countries.
