Blog-tagged: Five things you might not know about me
Talk about viral. As near as I can tell, this phenomenon started about a week ago and has quickly spread through the blogosphere. The rules are (1) you write about five things that your readers might not know about you and (2) you tag five more bloggers who do the same. Sure, it is as one person called it, the blog equivalent of a chain letter, but hey, it's fun. And it gives me a chance to do an off-topic post. So thanks to Darren for tagging me. Here's my list:
- Unlike Darren, I'm not a pro. Not full-time anyway. By day, I manage a nonprofit public garden. I'm a horticulturist by training. I did the back to the land thing in my college days and succeeding years, and even did a stint as an agricultural extension agent. There goes those techie stereotypes! The common thread between that life and GPS Tracklog is a love of the outdoors.
- I've got a certain degree of wanderlust and moved west a decade ago to explore new horizons. Going anywhere new, especially in the great outdoors, gets me quite excited.
- I love music and listen to a wide range of indie pop, alt folk and punk country.
- I had shoulder-length hair in high school.
- I'm ADD and blogging gives me an outlet, allowing me to explore new things.
With that, I'm tagging my GPS colleagues Tim and Scott, nephew Ken, fellow map enthusiast Jonathan and wife Lisa.
